British pop star BRIAN HARVEY may never walk again after falling under the wheels of his own car on Tuesday (31MAY05).
The former EAST 17 star has survived a series of life threatening operations, including treatment for a broken leg, shattered pelvis, severe abdominal injuries and fluid-filled lungs - sustained when he was crushed under his Mercedes in Essex on his way to a recording studio.
But despite now being in a stable condition, the STAY ANOTHER DAY hitmaker may have been left permanently paralysed from the waist down, and faces spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
Close friend JONNY LISNERS says, "Brian may never walk again.
"The whole pelvis and both legs were literally twisted round the wrong way.
"He could be in hospital for anything up to one-and-a-half-years."
Harvey, who is suffering from clinical depression, was rushed to hospital last month (MAY05) after he collapsed at his home following an alleged overdose of sleeping tablets.
In April (05) he was treated in a rehabilitation clinic for depression, but denied press reports he had attempted suicide.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the mysterious accident.
