Hello!!

(c) Emma

This is a chat on the Sun where Emma has been.

The sexy star talked to us about the machete attack on her boyfriend Brian Harvey, being flashed at on a photo shoot and why she isn't a fan of Girls Aloud.

I remember reading that Brian was attacked with a machete a while back. What happened and how is he now? Sharon, Bournemouth

Brian nearly died in that attack back in December 2001. I would class it as attempted murder, as you don't whack someone over the head with a machete and expect them to live. What happened is that Brian had done a Christmas gig for a bunch of students at a University up in Nottingham. He phoned to tell me that he would be home soon but as he was walking to the car these guys just started walking towards him. Like typical idiots they were shouting stuff about who he was but he ignored them. Then they jumped him. It was unprovoked and uncalled for, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was a really tough time but it has made us stronger and closer as a couple in the long run and Brian is fine and really well now.

Hi Emma. You are one of the most beautiful women in the world and my question is what do you think of Stay Another Day by Girls Aloud, the song your boyfriend Brian Harvey made famous? Paul Constantine, Manchester

I thought it was s**t! To be honest with you I thought it was rubbish, I'm not going to lie. It's a boy band song and it should have stayed with male vocalists, I'm sorry but Cheryl cained it! If anyone was going to sing it, it should have been Nadine as she has a wicked voice and could have carried it off. Some of the people who come out of these reality TV shows, like Nadine, are alright and can have a long future. But it happens every year now and I'm getting bored with it. It's like, "what band are we going to get this year then?"

I really love your single with Nu Circles and I can't wait to buy your album. Are you writing the tracks yourself and who else are you collaborating with. Is Brian on it at all? Andrew Trent

I am working on an album but like I said just now it all depends on what sort of response I get to this single. It is a good feeler for fans to let me know what elements of the single they like and which direction I should take for my album. And if the single doesn't do well I'll completely change the concept for the album. Whatever happens I am still going to be recording even if I need to move on. Brian and I have a studio at home and when we get some free time we'll often go in and make tunes. There will probably some stuff on my album featuring Brian as we have recorded some really good songs together. I'd like to have other collaborations on my album and I have contacts in America, who have worked with people like Justin Timerlake, who I'd love to work with. I've got a while to think about it as I don't plan to release the album for at least a year

You've travelled all over the world, which city is the best for shopping and which is the best for romance? Sarah Ball

New York is a great shopping city if you want fashionable clothes and designer labels. But I prefer West Hollywood, LA, as they have great girly shops with dresses, frilly things and big shoes. For romance I would never go to Paris, Brian and I both hate it! It's funny but that is another thing we have in common as we don't like the food, the culture or the country. I'm going to pick Majorca for romance, we go on holiday there in a private villa in the mountains. That is bliss, all on your own with a pool, some food and Sangria. I keep reminding Brian that Valentines Day is coming up!

Hi Emma, I used to have Brian Harvey pinned up all over my bedroom wall, you are a lucky girl. Do you guys have any wedding plans? Sarah, Leeds

Brian has been having a rough time recently so we want to wait a bit before getting engaged. We've been going out for two years and are really happy together so we don't want to rush things and ruin it. We don't want to be another celebrity couple who get engaged and then a week later have split up. We are stronger than that and don't need to go round telling people that we've got engaged. In due course, and when we can afford the rings we want to buy each other, we will get engaged. It will probably be a long engagement of two to three years followed by a nice big wedding.
