I am just thrilled to be asked, and excited to be performing on television again. I will give it my best shot and we will have to see how far I can go”.

Competing against Brian at ‘Making Your Mind Up’ will be Big Brovaz, Cyndi, Justin Hawkins and Beverlei Brown (Hawkins & Brown), Liz McClarnon and Scooch. Terry Wogan and Fearne Cotton will be joined in the studio by a panel of experts who will cast their judgement over the acts but the ultimate decision with be the public’s - viewers will be able to vote for their favourite act by phone or text with all profits going to BBC Children In Need.

When asked if he had any tricks up his sleeve to beat the competition the singer said: “That would be telling, you will have to wait and see”.....
